• Give hope to girls raped in Bukavu Program

    PIFEVA(Pillar of Vulnerable Women Active in DR Congo) is a Congolese Non-profit Association created on 04 June 2004 in Bukavu in South Kivu and legally registered in DR Congo. She has specialized in the promotion of gender and women's leadership, the fight against sexual and gender-based violence, the social and economic reintegration of women and girls in vulnerable situations and in the accompaniment of local communities. prevention and peaceful conflict management, with a view to fighting against poverty and injustice in South Kivu in eastern DR Congo.

    It is in this context that we set up this program called "Give hope to girls victims of sexual violence in Bukavu, DR Congo.

     

    Main objective

     

    Contribute to the reinforcement of the system of protection and improvement of the living conditions through the apprenticeship of the trades (cutting and sewing, hairstyles) for the self-care of the young girls victims of the sexual violence in Bukavu in the DR Congo.

     

    Specific objectives

     

    1)Strengthen the protection of girls who are victims of sexual violence to prevent abuses and violations of their rights and improve their protection in  Bukavu in the DR Congo;

     

    2)Provide psychological counseling to young girls who are victims of sexual violence to improve access to psychological care following severe trauma in Bukavu in the DR Congo;

     

    3)Providing vocational training cutting and sewing, hairstyles to facilitate the social and economic reintegration of young girls who are victims of sexual violence in Bukavu in the DR Congo.
